Store Manager – Covent Garden

We are currently recruiting for an experienced full time Store Manager to lead our team at our Covent Garden store.

Orla Kiely is an iconic designer known for her contemporary blend of retro prints and ultra-feminine designs. Since establishing the Orla Kiely brand in 1997, her collection has grown to include a complete womenswear fashion line and accessories, as well as travel and homeware. Orla Kiely is a much-loved global brand with a presence in well-known retail outlets all over the world. We have two stores in London and one in New York, as well as a global website. Our design studio, head office and sales office are based in London.

Duties will include:
• Deliver the Orla Kiely concept and champion the brand in a professional manner
• Effectively manage the day to day operational and staffing requirements of the shop
• Ensure customer service is of the highest standards at all times from all members of the team
• Support and develop the Retail team to maintain the highest shop standards at all times
• Ensure staff rotas are prepared and communicated, with optimum cover during peak trading periods
• Ensure the shop is fully staffed at all times, taking into consideration any staff absences
• Manage recruitment and induction of employees against Company and shop criteria
• Ensure stock takes are carried out as required
• Ensure shops are compliant with Company policies and procedures
• Ensure the shop maintains excellent visual presentation which is consistent with Company guidelines
• Actively liaise, communicate and develop good relations with the team and Senior Management
• Carry out store administration efficiently on a daily basis
• Ensure inductions are completed for all new members of staff, with any ongoing training needs identified
• Ensure the staff manual is kept up to date and current, amending as required
• Maximise opportunities to drive sales and profit within the shop
• Attend Manager meetings as required

To be successful in this role you will:
• Have previous store management experience within the luxury retail industry
• Be commercially astute with strong market place knowledge
• Be proficient in MS Office
• Have proven ability to drive sales and team
• Have previous experience in dealing with performance management

You will also:
• Hold excellent people management and leadership skills
• Be instinctive and creative, with a flair for visual merchandising
• Have a presentable and professional appearance in order to represent the brand as an ambassador
• Be organised with good attention to detail
• Be a great team player who thrives in a fast paced environment
• Have a confident, calm and enthusiastic demeanour
• Possess exceptional communication skills

Sales Assistant – Covent Garden

We are currently recruiting for a full time Sales Assistant to work at our Covent Garden store.

Duties will include:

• Providing excellent levels of customer care
• Maximising every selling opportunity to achieve store and individual sales targets
• Processing all retail sales, managing cash and credit card transactions
• Maintaining a clean and tidy store
• Managing stock levels on the sales floor and stockroom
• Answering any telephone enquiries efficiently
• Ensuring an awareness of Health and Safety and security issues on the sales floor
• Optimising product knowledge to the best advantage by recommending products in order to maximise selling opportunities
• Resolving customer complaints promptly, escalating to the Supervisor/Manager as required
• Attending and participating in shop meetings and training events

Admin Intern – Head Office

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an intern to assist with the general administration at our Head Office.
 

The position will involve:
- Assisting with organising events
- Opening and distributing incoming mail
- Posting external mail
- Assisting with organising sample sales
- Assisting with emails and general admin
- General errands for the Directors
- Ordering company stationery
- Ordering company cleaning products
- Topping up the franking machine with credit as and when required
- Answering incoming calls, directing to the appropriate department and/or taking messages
 

You will have:
- An organised approach with good attention to detail
- A presentable and professional appearance
- Excellent communication skills

Although this will be an unpaid position, you will receive assistance towards your travel and lunch each day.

Executive Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an exceptional Executive Assistant to support our Directors at our head office in Clapham.

Duties will include:

• PA support to the CEO and CFOO to include full diary and travel management, etc.
• Supporting the management team in their day to day activities
• Facilitating client meetings and events
• Management of office and facilities, including building alarm, fire alarms, office cleaning, entrance fobs and window security.
• Ordering and maintaining office supplies
• General administrative support
• Managing and arranging meetings for the senior management team
• Assisting with exhibitions
• Processing monthly credit card expenses
• Organising Company mobile phones

In order to be considered for this role you will:

• Have previous experience working as an Executive Assistant/Office Manager
• Be organised with good attention to detail
• Be an accurate and fast typer who is IT and Microsoft Office literate

In addition, you will have:

• Outstanding written and verbal communication, organisational and prioritising skills
• A 'hands on', proactive approach to the role
• A presentable, professional personal appearance
• Strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and proactive
• An unflappable approach with the ability to work well under pressure
