Showroom Intern

We are looking for a Showroom Intern to join us in January 2015 for approximately 6 – 8 weeks.
 

This position will involve:
• General day to day administration
• Taking responsibility for the showroom, ensuring it is tidied on a daily basis and stocked as necessary
• Assisting with customers to the showroom
• Assisting with outfits for customers and dressing our models
• Preparing gift packs for customers

You will have:
• An organised approach with good attention to detail
• A flair for fashion with an excellent sense of style

Although this will be an unpaid position, you will receive assistance towards your travel and lunch each day.

Wholesale Account Co-Ordinator

We are currently recruiting for an additional Wholesale Account Co-Ordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Job Objectives & Responsibilities
• Preparing sales order confirmation
• Raising pro-forma and tax invoices for sales, promotional and internal transfer accounts
• Work closely with Credit Control to ensure no bad debt exposure
• Ensure allocation of stock as per customer orders
• Raising pick notes as required
• Arranging deliveries as required
• Respond to all customer enquiries regarding account, deliveries and product information
• Maintaining Free to Sell lists, supporting the sales team
• Maintaining delivery and seasonal logs
• Management of customer service and returns including raising credit notes and arranging replacements

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will:
• Preferably have previous customer service/sales experience within the retail industry
• Have strong Excel skills
• Ideally have previous experience of Protex and SAGE
• Be a diligent, organised team player with strong attention to detail
• Have an excellent telephone and email manner with a confident approach
• Have a calm and enthusiastic demeanour along with a good sense of humour
• Be self-motivated and proactive
• Be flexible and adaptable
• Have the ability to work well under pressure

Garment Technologist - Ladieswear

We are currently recruiting for a Garment Technologist within Ladieswear to assist our Production team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Duties and responsibilities
- Work closely with Design during development of three seasonal collections of Wovens, Knitwear and Jersey
- Lead fit meetings and ensure fit comments are issued in an accurate and timely manner working alongside the Design, Production and Sales teams
- Advise on commercial aspects during product development and production meetings
- Contribute to product development advising on changes and actions required to improve product quality and manufacturing methods
- Advise on suitable construction methods and material choices
- Manage pre-production and liaising with factories and suppliers on a daily basis ensuring all comments are followed
- Maintain continuity of fit requirements across the collections
- Suggest modifications to improve fit and work closely with pattern cutters
- Approve final samples
- Work closely with Production Coordinator on a day to day basis during development and production
- Assist and support Design team with sourcing of trims
- Oversee fabric and trim testing, approval of lab dips
- Issue care instructions for care labels
- Analyse Product returns and faults
- Ensure the production team are updated with changes and information affecting costing
- Carry out QC in factories as and when required
- Build close working relationship with production, design and sales teams, and suppliers
- Work closely with Production Manager and assist when needed

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will:

- Be an experienced garment technician working for a high end designer
- Be an excellent communicator on all levels with a can-do attitude
- Have previous experience working with suppliers and manufacturers in Europe and Far East
- Have previous QC experience
- Have a full understanding of patterns and fit
- Have high attention to detail
- Possess good fabric knowledge
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Be able to work well as a team member
- Be able to adhere to strict deadlines and work under pressure

Technical/Production Assistant – Accessories

We are currently recruiting for a Technical/Production Assistant - Accessories to assist our Production team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Duties and responsibilities
- Assist Design during pre production and final production of Accessories
- Ensure comments are issued in an accurate and timely manner working alongside the Design, Production and Sales teams
- Advise on suitable construction methods and material choices
- Highlight issues and suggest solutions to improve quality and cost
- Assist Design with sourcing of raw materials
- Manage archive of raw materials
- Organise technical and in house wear testing of Accessories
- Analyse Product returns and faults
- Issue composition labels and care instructions
- Assist Production Manager during development and production
- Liaise with factories and suppliers on a day to day basis
- Assist during costings
- Assist production team with administrative tasks

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience within Accessories and working with manufacturers in Europe and Far East
- Have previous knowledge of leather and textiles
- Have a full understanding of patterns and construction
- Be an excellent communicator with a can-do attitude
- Possess high attention to detail
- Be able to work well as a team member
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Be able to adhere to strict deadlines and work under pressure
